Residential Service Instructors
Residential Service Instructors provide a wide range of supports for individuals in CCARC residential homes and in the community. They encourage opportunities that promote personal choice, and supervise and support individuals in a variety of activities.
Activities may include: personal, community, social/leisure, recreational, transportation, safety, monetary, and other identified skill areas in order to maximize the person’s potential.
All individuals are treated with respect and dignity. Information on all aspects of day-to-day living is recorded—behaviors, medical information and/or concerns, communications, programs, fire prevention, financial records, vehicle maintenance, staffing, and staff meetings.
Instructors meet and maintain the required certifications and attend trainings as mandated by relevant regulatory bodies and CCARC. They also administer medications and follow medical procedures in accordance with state regulations. Each has a valid State of Connecticut driver’s license.
All information regarding residents is held in strictest confidence. CCARC is committed to protecting the privacy of its clients and follows the guidelines established by (HIPAA).
