Individual and Family Support
Individual and Family Support Services assists approximately 200 persons and offers numerous opportunities for social, community and work experience. These include Day Support, Employment Services, Transitional Services, and PEERS (Personal Enrichment and Education through Respite Services). Each helps to enhance the individual’s life, promotes and develops abilities, and provides opportunities for community involvement.
Objectives are achieved through person-centered planning, which examines the individual’s needs, wants and desires, and then uses this knowledge to assist him/her in making their dreams happen—which is the mission of CCARC.
Referrals are typically received from the Dept. of Developmental Services (formerly Dept. of Mental Retardation), the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, school districts, and private individuals.
