CCARC, Inc. is having its Seventh Annual Fashion Show, “Toast to Fashion,” on March 23, 2012, at the St. George Greek Hall in New Britain. The hall will be elegantly decorated by Teresa’s Catering who will also provide a delectable menu for the attendees to enjoy. This year's event sponsor is Halloran & Sage LLP. Special thanks to our other event sponsors.
Some of the live auction items we will be featuring include a Wyndham Newport Onshore Timeshare in Newport, Rhode Island valued at $5,000 donated by the CCARC Foundation, a "Martha's Vineyard Vacation" which includes a four night stay at the Griffen home located in the East Chop section of Oak Bluffs graciously donated by Ken and Donna Griffen valued at $2,500, a full page ad in the New Britain Herald donated by Michael Schroeder valued at $600, a beautiful silk cape trimmed with mink valued at $600 donated by Connecticut Furs, Luxury Rock Cats Skybox which includes 20 tickets to a 2012 game valued at $500 donated by Hospital for Special Care, and many more silent auction items!
Guests will be dazzled over fashions presented by Men’s Wearhouse of West Hartford and Connecticut Furs, Inc. of New Britain. The fashions will be modeled by some of the area’s local luminaries such as New Britain Mayor Timothy O'Brien, Donna Griffen, Brandon Vacchelli, Cathy Vacchelli, Katie D'Amico, Susan Heise, Michael Schroeder, Nick DeNigris, Donald and Karen Sagarino, India Gates, Steven Hard, Kristen Jones, and Other Community Leaders.

The Fashion Show, co-chaired by Sharon Crandall and Ann Targonski-Brown along with an active committee of volunteers, made this event an incredible success. The evening also included a silent and live auction with featured items such as an ad in the New Britain Herald; Hospital for Special Care’s Sky Box at the Rock Cats; Fox Fur UGG Boots and Purse; one-week stay in Newport and a lobster bake at the Beach at Agostini/Vaughan summer home.
The success of this event is indicative of the generosity of the Greater New Britain community in good times and in difficult times. CCARC’s Board of Directors expresses our sincerest gratitude to all who attended and supported this event and especially to Paul Salina for volunteering his time to take all the wonderful pictures.
