Bequests
The will is the basic instrument for transferring assets at death. Anyone can make a bequest. This gift by will can allow you to have peace of mind by retaining control over your assets during your lifetime.
Including CCARC in your will is an appropriate way to recognize the value of the work we do and offset taxes. This is easily done by adding a codicil or amendment to your existing will.
For those who do not have a will, or whose will is out of date, we encourage you to seek assistance from an attorney who can help you evaluate your needs and draft one.
If you are interested in making a bequest to CCARC, Inc. it is important that you give to your attorney the correct bequest language to ensure your wishes will be carried out.
All estate gifts are put into the CCARC Foundation, Inc. Endowment Fund, a permanently-restricted fund from which only the income is used for general operating purposes. This allows the principal to grow and provides financial security against fluctuations in other sources of funding.
