Adolescent Residential
Services are designed to support teenagers/young adults who have been diagnosed with mental retardation and have experienced a significant crisis (or several) that impaired developmental abilities and personal skills.
Due to the need for advanced clinical support, this residential program falls under the Clinical Services umbrella. Staff includes a part-time psychiatrist, licensed clinicians, nursing staff, behaviorists, and specially-trained residential staff.
Services from this team enable these young people to smoothly transition into adulthood and function as independently as possible.
Adolescent homes are licensed through the Department of Children and Families and licensed by the Department of Developmental Services.
