Rebecca Lobo, Connecticut basketball sensation to attend CCARC's 39th Annual Golf Open Banquet |
CCARC is excited to announce that Connecticut basketball sensation Rebecca Lobo will be attending our 39th Annual Golf Open dinner banquet on the evening of September 9th. Lobo, who serves as spokesperson for this year’s tournament sponsor McCue Mortgage, will be available for autographs and offer words of inspiration to those in attendance at the Hawthorne Inn in Berlin, Connecticut.
Rebecca Lobo led Connecticut to their first National Collegiate Championship in 1995 before moving on to play professionally in the WNBA. Today, Lobo serves as a sports broadcaster covering professional and college women’s basketball, as well as acting as spokesperson for McCue Mortgage. She was recently voted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and has a remarkable list of personal and professional accomplishments.
John A.Barbieri, Chairman of the Golf Open is thrilled with the response of this year’s tournament and most appreciative of the continued support from the business community. Other high level sponsors to date are the Architectual Millwork, LLC; Farmington Savings Bank; Rose and Kiernan; Schuster Driscoll along with many others.
CCARC is recognizing Former Superintendent of New Britain School District, Marie Gustin as this year’s Honorary Chairperson for her years of community involvement and compassion for people with disabilities. Although we are close to being sold out for golf, we welcome anyone that wants to be a sponsor or attend the dinner.
